Best of 2020-2021 as wedding photographers

May 1st is our New Year's Day, the day we officially open the new season and, as celebration of our anniversary*, we sum up our previous year as wedding photographers in 3 minutes of images. (those from 2019 and 2018)

In this case – effects of the pandemic – it is a year that has dissolved the calendar and was stretched in two. In our life as wedding photographers, 2020 and 2021 were merged and were inseparable in every process of the office; there would be no way to dissociate them at the time of retrospective.

2020 promised to be THE Year! It was arriving, challenging and exciting, with several reportages abroad and various conferences of wedding photographers in which we would participate. We were eager, prepared and determined…but then Covid19 arrived. And life was suspended, the world cringed in fear and we all waited.

The weddings eventually came back, hesitant and very different: there was the mask, the hug was missing.

But the party is one of those corporeal memories, like riding a bicycle, that you don't forget even if it is apart from you. The party and the desire to celebrate love, friendship, family and life! Those bubble under the skin, behind the mask; and soon they will loosen up, tearing all the ties so we can embrace all the contained embraces and dance all the postponed dances! 2022 is going to be THE Year! We are eager, prepared and determined!

From this elongated and singular time that was the pandemic period, these are the images of our work as wedding photographers that touch us the most. They are the ones that made us shiver at the moment of shooting, the ones we wept for at the moment of editing (yes, it happens too!); they are the spectacular ones that jumped into the camara by themselves, and they are the subtle ones that we had to find on little cat feet. Some are obviously recognizable, others were silent hidden treasures among an immense myriad.

They are our favorites, unique and unrepeatable as all. And this is wonderfully pleasant: we know that, as much as these photographs move us, in the next report, we will not find them; in the next report we will be again looking for the unrepeatable!

And the best thing will be if, a year from now, when we publish our favorite unique images again, they make us feel that, after all, 2023 will be THE Year!
